Applications are being accepted through August 11, 2026, 4 p.m. Appointments will be made at an upcoming Board of Commissioners meeting on August 18, 2026.

Gratiot County is accepting bids for snow removal and salting services at the locations listed below as outlined.
Jail Parking Lot: located between the courthouse and the jail location 226 E. Center Street
Courthouse Handicapped Parking Lot: Entrance on Main Street, location of 214 E. Center Street
Courthouse Adjacent Parking Lot: Corner of Newark and Main Street, location 218 E Newark Street, adjacent to courthouse
Gratiot County Animal Shelter: Location 2675 West Washington Road, Ithaca
Mid-Michigan Health Department: Location 151 Commerce Drive, Ithaca
Drain Commission: Location 904 E. Center Street, Ithaca approximately 2400 square foot surrounding Drain Commission building.
Information and Bid Submission:
All parking lots need to be cleared prior to 7:00am. Snow must not be piled in the parking lot between the courthouse and the jail. Sheriff Station parking lot must be cleared 7 days/week, all other listed parking lots should be cleared Monday-Friday as per the direction of contract and Gratiot County Maintenance Supervisor. Please bid plowing and salt application separately per each listed location.
Bid should include snowplowing and salting when 3.0 inches of snow falls, or at the discretion of the Maintenance Department Supervisor. Bid should include only parking lots, no sidewalks included.
Bids are due by August 14, 2026 at 4:00pm. Public bid opening will be held at Courthouse Administration Office on Monday August 17th at 9:00 am. Electronic copies can be sent to procurement@gratiotmi.com
