It was the fifth-straight win for the Scots, who improved to 7-2, 5-1 in the MIAA.
The Scots hit the scoreboard first, scoring on a big play strike from Carter St. John to Devon Frenchko. The 75-yard touchdown makes Frenchko Alma’s all-time leader in receiving touchdowns. Up 6-0, the Scots scored again with Ty Lotterman taking a screen pass 18 yards to the house, moving the lead to 13-0.
Kalamazoo hit back with a touchdown of their own, then it was Lotterman again snagging a 50-50 ball in the endzone to bring the score to 20-7. With no scoring in the second quarter, the score still read 20-7 at halftime.
The Scots opened the second half with a bang as Evan Eastman grabbed a tipped pass, rumbling 14 yards for a pick-six. The lead ballooned further with Kahleel Brown scoring from one-yard out.
