The Arcada Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Meeting on the evening of September 23, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arcada Township Hall located at 3290 W. Tyler Road Alma, MI 48801 to amend the zoning ordinance Sections 2.2, 14.5, and 14.6(B) (Prohibited signs) to allow for digital signs to be placed within the Township. PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT

The Bethany Township (“Township”) Planning Commission will hold a public hearing during a joint meeting of the Township Board and the Planning Commission to be held at the Bethany Township Hall (see address below) on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 5 P.M. to consider a proposed amendment to the Township’s Zoning Ordinance.
If adopted, the proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments would, in summary, allow and add regulations for Community Solar Energy Systems. Copies of the proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments are available upon request by appointment at the Township Hall, 9958 N. Blair Road, Breckenridge, MI 48916. Written comments on the proposed Zoning Ordinance amendment will be received at the Township Hall by appointment, up to and including the day of the public hearing including by mail using the address below. Please contact the Township Hall using the information below to coordinate submitting written comments by e-mail (if necessary) or to obtain copies of the proposed Zoning Ordinance amendment. Oral comments on the proposed amendment may also be made at the public hearing.
The Township will provide auxiliary aids or services to individuals with disabilities. Persons needing such services should kindly contact the office of the Township Clerk by writing or calling the Clerk not less than four (4) days before the public hearing using the contact information below.

SPECIAL USE APPLICATION

Please take notice that the Planning Commission of Bethany Township will hold a public hearing during a joint meeting of the Township Board and Planning Commission on Monday, September 30, 2024 to be held at the Bethany Township Hall (see address below for Township Hall) at 5:00 P.M. in accordance with Section 15.6 of the Bethany Township Zoning Ordinance and the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Act 110 of 2006, MCL 125.3101 et. seq. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider a request from DTE Energy Co. (“DTE”) for a special use permit and site plan approval to, among other things, construct and operate a proposed Large Solar Energy System (“Project”).
The proposed Project for review and consideration by the Township is generally a proposed solar energy system. This public hearing will provide an opportunity for residents and interested citizens to express their opinions, ask questions, and discuss all aspects of the request.
