WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP
NOTICE OF ADOPTION
On October 18, 2024, the Washington Township Board adopted:
1) Pension Plan Ordinance No. O-1991-003 Rev. 2024, which regulates a pension plan for elected officials and full-time employees of the Township, and repeals and replaces inconsistent ordinances. The Ordinance has the following sections and catch lines: Section 1: Purpose; Section 2: Title; Section 3: Group Pension Plan; Section 4: Severability; Section 5: Repeal; and Section 6: Effective Date
2) Cemetery Ordinance No. 2013-4 Rev. 2024, which regulates the operation, control, maintenance and management of cemeteries owned, controlled or operated the Township of Washington in Gratiot County, Michigan. The revised ordinance has 29 Sections.
3) Prohibition of All Marijuana Establishments Ordinance No. 2019-001 Rev. 2024, which prohibits all marijuana establishments within the Township.  The Ordinance has the following sections and catch lines: Section 1: Purpose; Section 2: Title; Section 3: No Marijuana Establishments; Section 4: Violations and Penalties; Section 5: Severability; Section 6: Repeal; and Section 7: Effective Date
4) Zoning Ordinance amendment No. 2024-001, which generally outlines that violations of the Zoning Ordinance that are punishable by municipal civil infraction citation and other remedies.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE ADOPTION OF A BROWNFIELD PLAN FOR THE COUNTY OF GRATIOT, HELD PURSUANT TO AND IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ACT 381 OF THE PUBLIC ACTS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN OF 1996, AS AMENDED

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing shall be held before the County Board of Commissioners of the County of Gratiot on the 4th day of November 2024, at 4:30 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Room of the Gratiot County Courthouse, 214 E. Center Street, Ithaca, Michigan to consider the approval and recommendation of the 311 E. Superior Street Redevelopment Project Brownfield Plan (the Plan). The Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, exercising its powers pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Brownfield Redevelopment Financing Act, being Act 381 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan of 1996, as amended, has recommended approval of the Plan.
The description of the proposed brownfield property is as follows:

The proposed Plan would allow Gemini Capital Management IX, LLC to be reimbursed for eligible costs incurred to prepare the brownfield property for redevelopment. Eligible costs may include environmental and/or site preparation costs. The Plan must first be approved by the County Board of Commissioners.
This description of the property along with any maps, plats, and a description of the Plan are available for public inspection at Greater Gratiot Development, Inc., 136 S. Main St., Ithaca, Michigan 48847. Please call (989) 875-2083 to request a copy of these materials. The Brownfield Plan can also be found at the below link and QR code. All aspects of the Plan are open for discussion at the public hearing. All interested persons shall have the opportunity to be heard. Written communications with reference to the Plan shall be received and considered and a record of the public hearing including all data presented shall be made and preserved.
The meeting will be held in public and virtually in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, PA 267 of 1976, as amended, as well as in accordance with all applicable laws, including PA 228 of 2020. Vault Toilets Remodel Project

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:
Sealed bids on the “Gratiot County Parks Vault Remodel Project” will be received in the office of Gratiot County Parks and Rec, 3181 E. Johnson Rd. Ithaca, MI 48847 until 3:00 p.m., Friday November 1, 2024, after which time no further bids will be received. Sealed bids should be clearly marked “Gratiot County Parks Vault Remodel Project”. Bids will be tabulated and Gratiot County may issue a purchase order to the successful bidder after approval by the administration and the Gratiot County Board of Commissioners.
This project includes removing old material off the vault toilets inside and out and replacing with sheet metal and wrapping post to match other buildings within the parks.
