NEW HAVEN TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on May 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at New Haven Township Hall by the New Haven Township Planning Commission for the purpose of hearing the following Special Land Use Permit request:
A request for the issuance of a Special Land Use Permit that would allow an expansion of the existing Leisure Lake Family Campground up to 80 new campsites located on land owned by Kenneth & Raedene Shunk. This construction will take place on a 159-acre parcel known as NW ¼ FRL Sec 3-10-4 (#09-003-005-00) of Zoning District Agricultural-Rural Residential, Parcel located southeast quadrant of Warner Rd and Washington Rd intersection, within Section 3, New Haven Township, Gratiot County, Michigan.

30th ANNUAL
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION PROGRAM
June 6, 7, & 8, 2023

The City of Alma along with the City of St Louis will be sponsoring its twenty-ninth annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program on June 6, 7, & 8, 2023. Solid waste customers desiring to use this service should call (989) 463-8339 to schedule an appointment to drop off their material at the Alma Public Works garage located at 800 Washington Street. Customers are encouraged to utilize this service to dispose of all unwanted waste typically considered hazardous and not permitted to be placed with the weekly trash collection services. Examples of these include:

Pesticides and Herbicides
Solvents, Strippers and Turpentine
Paints-Oil based and Latex
Rodent Baits
Chemical Household Cleaners and Acids
Auto Fluids-Antifreeze and Lubricants
Pool/Spa Chemicals
Household and Automotive Batteries
Pressurized tanks (i.e. fire extinguishers, LP tanks, etc.)
Fluorescent light bulbs (tubes only)

ALSO

Passenger and Light Truck Tires*

*Will not accept OTRs which include loader tires, airplane tires, solid/gel filled tires, forestry tires, logging tires, mining tires, earth mover tires, golf tires with rim, rubber tracks of any kind, nor tires with excessive dirt and parts or shreds of tires.

All items to be disposed of must be in original containers. Unidentified substances can not be accepted. Leaky items should be placed in a plastic or metal container with a secure top. Containers are limited in size to 5-gal or 40lbs in weight. Substances should not be mixed together.

The following items CAN NOT be accepted:
Gasoline
Ammunition or Explosives
Radioactive Materials (i.e. smoke detectors)

No Dried Paint or Empty Paint Cans
Unidentifiable Materials
E-Waste (electronics, computers, cell phones)

Prescription Medication
Alma Police Department is a collection site
Outdated or Unused Medications in original containers (Pills only)

Sharps (Needles)
Gratiot Community Mental Health is a Sharps collection site

This program is only available to City of Alma/City of St Louis Solid Waste customers. There is no direct charge for this service as costs incurred for the Household Hazardous Waste program are assessed in customer billing. Identification will be required at the drop off site. Notice of Public Hearing – City of Ithaca

The City of Ithaca City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 7:00pm, for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing to take comment on the proposed EGLE Drinking Water State Revolving Fund project from interested persons. The meeting will be located at 129 W. Emerson Street, Ithaca, MI 48847.
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve water reliability, improve water quality, replace suspected lead service lines to improve the redundancy of the water system.
Project construction will involve water main improvements, lead service line replacement and fire hydrant replacement throughout the city.
Impacts of the proposed project include Union Street from Center Street to Arcada Street, Barnes Street from Center Street to North Street, South Pine River Street from the existing Railroad tracks to Center Street, West Saint Charles Road from North Pine River to Whispering Pines and fire hydrant replacement throughout the city.
The estimated cost to users for the proposed project will be $4,321,000 total project cost, which is approximately $7.30 per month over the life span of the loan.
A copy of the plan detailing the proposed project is available for inspection at the following location: Ithaca City Hall, 129 W. Emerson Street, Ithaca, MI 48847. City of Ithaca –Seasonal Specialist Laborer –Department of Public Works: This position will assist the Water Superintendent with special water and sewer projects, including lead/copper waterline replacements. Position will also perform general labor duties including mowing and general maintenance for the Public Works, Water, Sewer and Parks Departments. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour, with an average of 40 hours per week. Applicant must be able to pass an employment physical and background check. Position requires applicants to work with others and independently in indoor and outdoor environments.

Code Enforcement/Rental Housing Inspector (Part-Time)
City of Ithaca

The City of Ithaca is seeking applications for the position of Code Enforcement/Rental Housing Inspector (Part-Time). The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and related experience. Candidate must possess good written and oral communication skills. Position performs tasks related to property code enforcement and rental housing inspections which includes office and outside field work. This is a part-time position 15-20 hours per week. Starting pay is up to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Saint Louis Ithaca Pine River Transit (SLIPR) Authority will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 8:30 A.M. to consider approval of the 2023/2024 Budget. The meeting will be held at St. Louis City Hall, 300 N. Mill Street.
Copies of the proposed budgets are on file at St. Louis City Hall for public inspection prior to the public hearing.
