Marolyn Furgason – Obituary

Marolyn Furgason, age 81, passed away February 11, 2022 at her home in Rockledge, Florida while under hospice care.
[private] She was born to Lionel and Dortha (Kirkey) on February 26, 1940 in Gratiot County, Mich. She was the second of five children: sister Carolyn Casemier-Rotz (Lloyd) and brother Larry (Kris) Furgason. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Ted Furgason (1973), and sister Daryl (Bill) Laitila (2012).
She lived her childhood in Ithaca and Breckenridge, Mich. She was a graduate of the class of 1958, and she earned a degree from Saginaw Business Institute, Saginaw, Michigan.
She worked in retail and in the homecare equipment and supply industry. She specialized in providing loving and caring support for women experiencing cancer. She was actively involved in the American Cancer Society and promoting Breast Cancer Awareness.
She loved being a grandmother. She had a keen sense of style, and her hobbies included reading and embroidery.
She is survived by her sons, John Pierce (Patty) and Jeff Pierce, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
