[private]Close – Fowler’s school colors are blue and white. The Eagles’ track teams swept Ithaca’s Blue and Gold Invitational last Friday.
The host team was runner-up in the girls division and the Yellowjackets third on the boys side.
Ithaca junior hurdler Jordyn Smith was on fire. She set PRs in both the 100-meter hurdles, a winning time of 17.62 seconds, and 300-meter hurdles, second with a career-best 53.09 seconds.
Ithaca started things off right on the track by winning the 4×800-meter relay. The team of Liliana Lehnst, Izabelle LaLone, Emma Dawe and Myleigh Hephner finished first in 10:19.17.
The Yellowjackets’ other first places came in the pole vault, won by Natasha Nowakowski who cleared 9-0, and 400 meters, which Madison Montgomery won in a PR 1:03.40. Nowakowski was also third in the high jump, and Montgomery fourth in the 100 meters.
Lehnst was second in the 1,600 meters thanks to a PR time of 5:35.53.
Ithaca’s 4×400-meter relay team of Montgomery, Hephner, LaLone and Lehnst was second in 4:21.91.
Third for Ithaca were Karlee Whitmore in the shot put; LaLone in the long jump; Hepner in the 800 meters and Emma Dawe in the 3,200 meters.
Placing fourth from the Yellowjackets was Karisa Deacons in the 3,200 meters.
Ithaca finished with 131.5 points to Fowler’s 145.
In the boys team scoring, Fowler had 118.5 points, Tri-County 111 and Ithaca 78.5 in the 15-team field.
Ithaca’s boys team won the 4×400-meter relay thanks to Ethan Hull, Lane McDonald, Ryley White and Parks Allen’s time of 3:34.62.
McDonald, Landen Styka, Thad Whitmore and Allen were second in the 3,200-mter relay with a time of 8:58.39.
Allen was second in the 1,600 meters with a time of 4:34.97. Hull placed second in the long jump with a PR of 20-10.5.
Third from Ithaca were Nicholas Mikesell, Nathan Mikesell, Bronson Bupp and Jackson O’Neil in the 4×100-meter relay and McDonald in the 800 meters.
Finishing fourth were Nathan Mikesell in the 100 and 200 meters and Miingen Bertrand in the 3,200 meters.

Ithaca beats Sharks
Ithaca swept both sides of its TVC dual meet at St. Louis last Wednesday, 121-12 for the boys and 98-38 for the girls.
First for Ithaca on the boys side were Parks Allen 2:10.59 in the 800 meters and 5:57.77 1,600 meters; Owen Mikulka 19.81 secons in the 110-meter hurdles and 49.13 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles; Ethan Hull 55.71 seconds in the 400 meters and 20-9 in the long jump; Nicholas Mikesell 12.60 seconds in the 100 meters; Nathan Mikesell 23.87 seconds in the 200 meters; Landen Styka 11:03.35 in the 3,200 meters; Jackson O’Neil, Owen Mikulka, Nicholas Mikesell and Brandon Pass 51.37 seconds in the 4×100-meter relay; Hull, Bronson Bup, Ryley White and Nathan Mikesell 1:35.33 in the 4×200-meter relay; Joe Dawe, Karter Araujo, Thad Whitmore and Jacob Mankey 4:59.21 in the 4×400-meter relay; Whitmore, Austin Barancik, Mankey and Miingen Bertrand 11:30.9 in the 4×800-meter relay; Bupp 37-1.5 in the shot put; Pass 109-10.5 in the discus; Carlson Eckelbarger 9-0 in the pole vault.

Ithaca’s girls teams took the first four spots in the 100 meters; first six in the 200 meters; and first five in the 400 meters.
Jordyn Smith won both the 100-meter hurdles, 17.90 seconds, and 300-meter hurdles, 55.89 seconds.
Also winning for Ithaca were Madison Montgomery 13.59 seconds in the 100 meters and 1:08.13 in the 400 meters; Whitmore 30-2 in the shot put and 82-5 in the discus; Emma Rohrs 29.87 seconds in the 200 meters; Rohrs, Hailee Risner, Natasha Nowakowski and Karlee Whitmore 58.52 seconds in the 4×100-meter relay; Rohrs, Risner, Nowakowski and Whitmore 2:02.50 in the 4×200-meter relay; Montgomery, Emma Dawe, Liliana Lehnst and Myleigh Hephner 5:52.29 in the 4×400-meter relay; Lehnst, Izabelle LaLone, Daw and Haphner 14:23.05 in the 4×800-meter relay; Nowakowski 4-7 in the high jump; and LaLone 15-4.5 in the long jump.
St. Louis junior Jaiden Dickman did the majority of the Sharks’ scoring. She won the 800 meters in 2:32.16; the 1,600 meters in 5:33.43; and 3,200 meters in 12:44.17.
St. Louis’ Natalee Hoyt won the pole vault clearing 9-6.5.

St. Louis junior Jaiden Dickman was second in the 800 meters, 2:29.62; second in the 1,600 meters 5:24.26; and second in the 3,200 meters 11:59.91.
