Public Hearing Public Notice

The Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at their regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 at 5:00pm in the Board of Commissioner’s Room Level 1 of Gratiot County Courthouse 214 E. Center Rd., Ithaca, MI 48847 inaccordance with Act 33 of 2008, MCL 125.3801 et. seq. The purpose of the public hearing is to provide an opportunity for residents and interested citizens to express their opinions, ask questions, and discuss all aspects of the proposed Gratiot Countywide Master Plan to be adopted as Elba Township, Hamilton Township, Lafayette Township, Newark Township, North Star Township, and Sumner Township’s master plan. Written comments may be submitted on or before the date of the public hearing by directing any comments to Diandra Messer at 989-875-5201 or dmesser@gratiotmi.com.You may review a copy of the proposed Gratiot Countywide Master Plan at Gratiot County Courthouse 214 E. Center St. Ithaca, MI 48847. You may also review and download a copy of the proposed Master Plan at: bit.ly/DraftGCMP25 . You may also obtain a copy of the proposed Master Plan by contacting Diandra Messer at 989-875-5201 or dmesser@gratiotmi.com. Please do not hesitate to contact the phone number above or utilize the Michigan Relay Service at 7-1-1 (TDD) to request accommodations to attend the public hearing at least 72 hours prior to the public hearing.
