Used book sale coming fast
Monday, September 15 is the start–though we’ll be setting up the weekend before. Right now, we’re still taking gently used books, games, CDs DVDs, and puzzles, so please keep spreading the word. And if you have an hour or two to help sort books, give Lorrie a call (989-463-9585). The book sorting situation is like the brooms in the Fantasia cartoon–the books keep coming and coming. The lulls are brief before the cycle starts all over again!

Chair Fitness classes extended!
Because of space availability at the library, we had planned to end the Chair Fitness classes in August. But Library Director Lorrie Taylor worked a little magic to allow us to extend the classes through October. And then, in a surprising and happy turn of events, the Alma United Methodist Church offered us handicap-accessible space at the church for classes in November and in January! There will be no classes in December. We’ll return “home” to the library in February 2026. Classes will remain Mondays at 10 a.m.
Come and join us. If you think you’re too out of shape to try, trust me, you’re not. And if you think you’re too fit for the class to be a challenge, again, trust me, you’re not. Instructor Bobbi Bush makes the class accessible, challenging, and fun for all levels of fitness. Try it. You’ll like it. Note: no class on Labor Day, and no class on Monday, September 15th–that’s when the book sale starts!
