SEVILLE TOWNSHIP
NOTICE OF ADOPTION

TAKE NOTICE that on May 14, 2025, the Township Board of Seville Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, adopted Ordinance No. An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance Regarding Utility-Scale Battery Energy Systems.
The Ordinances are available for inspection at Township Hall, 7676 W. Lincoln Road, Elwell 48832 during regular office hours. Copies may be obtained for a reasonable charge. The Ordinances took effect immediately upon adoption. A summery of the Ordinance is as follows.

Section 1. Addition of Definitions. Definitions are added to Chapter XIII of the Zoning Ordinance related to battery energy storage systems.

Section 2. Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems. A new Section XX, “Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems,” is added to the Zoning Ordinance to provide zoning requirements for utility-scale battery energy storage systems within the Township. This section also identifies the Renewable Energy Overlay District consisting of the following parcels:

Section 3. Validity and Severability. The Battery Ordinance’s provisions are severable.

Section 4. Repealer. All other ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of the Battery Ordinance are repealed to the extent necessary to give the Battery Ordinance full force and effect

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on June 26th at 6:00 p.m. at New Haven Township Hall. The hearing is offered by the New Haven Township Planning Commission for the purpose of consideration of two separate Special Land Use Permits that would allow for additional Housing for Farm Labor. These properties are owned by DeSaegher Investments LLC and are currently zoned in the Agricultural Preservation District.
Location #1 is on parcel #09-014-009-00, with an address of 7240 W. Buchanan Rd. Middleton, MI 48856.
Location #2 is on parcel #09-022-001-00, this vacant land parcel is in the southwest quadrant of the intersection of Buchanan Rd and S. Bliss Rd.

Notice of Public Hearing on
Proposed 2025-2026 Budget
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, June 24, 2025 at 6 o’clock p.m. at 8060 Ely Highway, Middleton, in the Penny Bearden Media Center of the High School, the Board of Education of Fulton Schools will hold a public hearing to consider the District’s proposed 2025-2026 budget.
The Board may not adopt its proposed 2025-2026 budget until after a public hearing. A copy of the proposed 2025-2026 budget, including the proposed property tax millage rate, is available for public inspection during the normal business hours at Fulton Administration Office, 8060 Ely Highway, Middleton, Michigan.
The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

Notice of Public Hearing

The North Star Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on July 1, 2025, at 7 p.m., at the North Star Township Hall, 2840 East Buchanan Rd., Ithaca, Michigan 48847, to consider an application for a Solar Energy Facility Exemption Certification from DTE Electric Company, Michigan Public Acts 1058 and 109 of 2023 allow DTE to ask North Star Township to grant a 20-year exemption from ad valorem property taxes and to establish a specific tax based on the nameplate capacity of the facility.
A copy of the application will be available at the township hall for inspection at request and will be available at the public hearing. Written comments on the application will be received by mail prior to the public hearing or at the public hearing. North Star Township will provide auxiliary aids or services to individuals with disabilities. Persons needing such services should call or write to the Township Clerk no less than four (4) business days before the public hearing.
