[private] Fulton’s boys basketball team lost Monday at state-ranked Fowler, 62-32.
Fulton came to play early at their non-conference rival. The Pirates, following a late three-pointer by Ian Lamkin then a layup by Bryson Sattler, trailed 16-14 after a quarter. A three-pointer at the horn by Fowler’s Jacob Halfmann put the Eagles up at the half, 34-22.
It was a different story after the intermission, with Fowler dominating with pace and pressure to lead 55-28 at the end of the third quarter.
Sattler scored 10 points for Fulton, which is now 7-5. Parker Duflo scored nine.
Halfmann was the game’s high scorer with 22 points. Also for Fowler, Asher Koenigsknecht scored 16 points and Alex Halfmann 10.
Fulton beat St. Charles last Wednesday, 51-31. The Pirates return to MSAC play today, Thursday, Carson City-Crystal. They will then face another top 10 Division 4 team Tuesday at home against Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart.
Huskies lose
Breckenridge lost at home last Tuesday to Vestaburg, 58-39.
Noah Barr led Breckenridge, 5-5, 3-5 MSAC, with 14 points.
For Vestaburg, Landon Artnz scored 20 points and Brehn Warczinsky had 17 points.
The Huskies have an MSAC game today, Thursday, at Merrill. /[private]
