NOTICE OF ADOPTION
ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
North Shade Township
Gratiot County, MI
ORDINANCE NO. 2024-10
Please take notice that on November 18, 2024, the Township Board of North Shade Township adopted Ordinance No. 2024-10, which amends the North Shade Township Zoning Ordinance (“Zoning Ordinance”) to change the rear yard setbacks for all zoning districts to 30 feet. Copies of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment may be obtained from Kathy Keiffer, North Shade Township Clerk, by contacting her via phone at 989-584-6000 or via email at northshadetownshipclerk@gmail.com.
The Zoning Ordinance Amendment has the following sections, which are summarized below: Section 1: Amends Chapter III, Section 3.2.1.c to reduce the rear yard setback for the agricultural zoning district to 30 feet; Section 2: Amends Chapter IV, Section 4.3.1.c to reduce the rear yard setback for the residential zoning district to 30 feet; Section 3: Amends Chapter V, Section 5.3.1.c to reduce the rear yard setback for the commercial zoning district to 30 feet; Section 4: Severability and Form; Section 5: Effective Date, which is seven (7) days after publication as required by law, unless referendum procedures are initiated under MCL 125.3402; and Section 6: Repeal.
