AgroLiquid Expands Ashley Facility, Boosting Village Growth

Village officials who proclaimed Ashley’s vision is “to stimulate economic growth” cheered on expansion of their most productive neighbor.
AgroLiquid, the manufacturer of liquid fertilizers, is adding another million gallon storage tank at its 15 acre manufacturing and distribution facility in Ashley where existing storage capacity of three million gallon tanks serve customer needs year round.
AgroLiquid’s reach is greater do to Ashley’s rail siting of the Great Lakes Central Railroad.
AgroLiquid customers are served by local retail suppliers and beyond to Mississippi, Tennessee and points north into Canada.
“We also have a facility in central Iowa similar to ones in Michigan, Iowa, Kansas and California,” explained Gerrit Bancroft, Operations Director, third generation of the family-owned operation that took root on a Clinton County farm in 1983.
Gerrit’s grandfather, Douglas Cook, and his father, Troy Bancroft, began experimenting with chemical solutions to bolster crop production.
Today, Troy chairs the board of directors.
Gerrit, the youngest of three brothers, acquired an agriculture business degree from MSU.
Nick Bancroft serves as President and CEO. Albert is Workplace Development Lead.
