Notice of Adoption-Intergovernmental Blight Ordinance Amendment

New Haven Township, Gratiot County, Michigan

Please take notice that on July 11, 2024, the New Haven Township Board adopted a Blight Ordinance Amendment which regulates blight within New Haven Township. The Blight Ordinance can be obtained in it’s entirety from the New Have Township Clerk.

Summary of the ordinance is as follows:it provides a process for preventing, reducing and/or eliminating blight within the township. It also outlines the associated enforcement provisions. The sections discussed within the ordinance include; 1: the purpose, 2: causes of blight and/or blight factors, 3: enforcement and penalties, 4: compliance, 5: severability, 6:effective date and adoption.

The ordinance will be effective 30 days following publication of this notice.
