Absent voter ballots must be mailed to voters no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023.  Registered voters may contact their local Clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.  For any other questions relating to the election process, please contact your local clerk, listed above.

All electors who are registered with the township or city clerk in which they reside are eligible to vote at this election.  Sample ballots can be found at www.mi.gov/vote.  To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille.  Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the township/city clerk in advance of the election.  All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.

Fulton Township will be holding their Annual Clean Up Day on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 10am-2pm at the Fulton Township Hall, located at 3425 W. Public Notice

City of Ithaca Property Owners

Pursuant to The City of Ithaca Code of Ordinances Section 38-42 and Section 38-114  notice is hereby given to all owners of property within the City of Ithaca that all unpaid invoices, water and sewer rates, charges and fees which have remained unpaid for a period of three (3) months or more as of April 1, 2023 which have not been paid by April 30, 2023, will be transferred to the City’s tax roll and assessed against in the property to which the water was supplied or furnished, and such unpaid rates or charges accrued shall be collected with and in the same manner as city taxes are collected, and if such rates or charges shall remain delinquent and unpaid after the expiration of the time limit in the warrant for the collection of taxes levied in such roll, such charges shall be returned to the county treasurer to be collected in the same manner as the lien created by the city taxes on the delinquent tax roll of the city.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

City of Ithaca Property Owners and Taxpayers

Notice is hereby given, as required by Chapter VII Section E of the City Charter, that a public hearing on the proposed City Budget for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 7:00pm or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows during the regular meeting of the Ithaca City Council.  The meeting location is at the City Hall located at 129 W. Emerson St, Ithaca, MI.

The proposed property tax millage rates to be levied and the water and sewer rates to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

A copy of the proposed budget is on file at the City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office and on the city website for public inspection prior to the public hearing. If unable to attend, written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk by May 16, 2023 at the above address or by email to clerk@ithacami.com.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT

TO NORTH SHADE TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE NO. 2023-07

 

Please take notice that on April 17, 2023, the Township Board of North Shade Township adopted Ordinance No. 2023-07, which amends the Zoning Ordinance to, among other things, clarify the make-up and procedures of the Township Zoning Board of Appeals.

Ordinance No. 2023-07 has the following sections and catch lines: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER IX, SECTION 9.1; SECTION 2. AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER IX, SECTION 9.2; SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY; SECTION 4. REPEAL; and SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE, which is seven days from the date of publication of this notice of adoption, as provided by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act. A copy of the adopted Zoning Ordinance amendment may be obtained by the Township Clerk using the phone number below or e-mail address below.
