Merle Allen “Mike” Troub, 94
of Perrinton passed away Tues.,
Dec. 20, 2022, at his home with
family by his side.
[private]He was born at home on Oct. 1,
1928, in Gratiot County the son of
Claude and Martha (Bell) Troub.
He was a graduate of Fulton High
School and married the love of his
life, Jean Ann Baker on her prom
night, April 16, 1950, at the Methodist
Parsonage in Middleton. He
went on to work for Fisher Body
in Lansing in Utility Relief and
Blackout Repair. He would retire
in 1984 after 32 years of service.
He was a life member of the
Maple Valley Lions Club. He was
a faithful and devoted member
of both the Perrinton and Carson
City United Methodist Church. He
served on the Perrinton Fire Department
for 36 years and was a
past Chief. He always put his family
first and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children,
Jennie (Steve) Brown, Debra
VanDePerre, Rebecca (Rick) Wilson,
James (Judy) Troub, Jodi
(William) Schmidt and William
Troub; 15 grandchildren, many
great-grandchildren; and greatgreat-
grandchildren; a sister-inlaw,
Martha Baker; and many foreign
exchange students.
He was preceded in death by
his beloved wife, Jean in 2018; a
daughter, Katthy Barrus; his parents;
and a sister, MaryBell Roberts.
Funeral services were held on
Tues., Dec. 27, 2022, at the Dodge
Funeral Home in Middleton with
Rev. Ried Martin officiating. Visitation
was held on Tuesday until
the time of services at the funeral
home.

to the Maple Valley Lions Club.
Interment will be held at a later
date in Payne, 94
