The Gratiot County Service Center will sponsor a variety of Health and Safety Classes for persons in the mid-Michigan communities during the remaining days of July and during August. The classes will be held at the Gratiot County Service Center in the Wilcox Non-Profit Center at 525 N. State Street in Alma. For more information call the GC Service Center at 463-3209 during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The following classes will be held in July: on Wednesday, July 14: Review of Community CPR/AED (Infant/Child/Adult), 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; on Thursday, July 15, First Aid, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; on Thursday, July 22: Adult/Child/Infant CPR /AED and First Aid Basics, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An Instructor Training Class will be held on Tuesday through Thursday, July 27 - 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The following classes will be held in August: Thursday, August 5, Adult AED & CPR, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Wednesday, August 11: Review of Community CPR/AED (Infant/Child/Adult), 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday, August 12, Infant/Child CPR, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday, August 19, First Aid, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursday, August 26, Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED and First Aid Basics, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Partial scholarships for regular classes are available through a Prepare Gratiot scholarship program for persons living, working or serving in Gratiot County who have financial hardships. Full Scholarships are available for the Instructor Training Class. Interested persons may apply by contacting the Gratiot County Service Center at 463-3209 or going to the office at 525 N. State Street in Alma.

Pre-registration is required for all classes.
