Letters To The Editor (June 30, 2011 issue)

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor:

The Republican National Committee sent me a questionnaire. What upset me was this: there was no question regarding the corrupt moral and religious bent of our nation – for which Satan’s curses are being inflicted on us! Thus, I saw no purpose in answering and returning the postage-paid questionnaire.

Our nation is adopting Satan’s rebellious laws in regard to homosexuality, marriage and family, in regard to what can and cannot be taught in our schools, and by way of the media. Yes, Biblical morality is replaced by the religion of secular humanism and atheism. Thus, we are increasingly receiving Satan’s curses instead of God’s blessings. God says of Satan: “The thief comes not, but [except] for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy,” John 10:10. Contrariwise: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,” Psalm 33:12.

How can we as families and as a nation expect God’s blessing and not Satan’s curses, when we choose to follow Satan in his rebellion against God and Biblical morality? Satan is pleased to see God and His Commandments and Biblical morality taken out of our schools and replaced with atheistic evolution, sexual immorality, that is, the religion of secular humanism? However, in so following Stan and despising God, we are receiving Satan’s curses!

Why is there no public out-cry against our political parties, none of which seems to see the absolute necessity of our need to return to Biblical morality, if we would be blessed in our homes and as a nation?

Why choose to continue in receiving Satan’s curses for our homes and nation (broken homes, indebtedness, wars, economic woes, etc.)? Haven’t you had enough of Satan’s suffering visited upon you and our nation? Our founding father, Noah Webster, rightly warned: “All the miseries and evils which men suffer…proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.”

In our homes and as a nation, whose foundation will we build and grow on, God’s or Satan’s? You and I count! Let’s (you and I) resolve as did Joshua of old: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord,” Joshua 24:15.

To the Editor:

Governor Synder’s refusal to sign a letter asking Congress to repeal last year’s federal health care overhaul is a great disappointment to me and many other Conservatives in our State. All GOP Governors have signed the letter asking Congress to revamp Medicaid giving states more leeway in crafting state-specific health plans for the poor. The Governor’s statement that he was “hired to be the governor of Michigan” and not an advocate on a National scale is a lame excuse, indeed.

The people of Michigan elected a Governor to run the day-to-day business of our state. High on that list, in my opinion, is protecting our Michigan citizens from the over-reaching power of the Federal Government. If every Governor sat back and let the Federal Government determine what is right for each state, it would soon be unnecessary to have a state government. Just let Washington run everything.

We citizens who are concerned about states’ rights must work even harder to elect people who will advocate for us. The 2012 election is just the beginning.
