To the Editor:
The United Way of Gratiot County would like to the thank the community for attending the Open House at the Wilcox Non-Profit Center, 525 N. State St., Alma. Approximately 400+ individuals toured the facility. Eightcap, Inc, ASCC (Addiction Solution Counseling Center), United Way of Gratiot County, American Red Cross, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), Child Advocacy of Central Michigan, Mid Michigan Literacy Council and Habitat for Humanity of Gratiot County staff and volunteers shared information about their agency and the services they provide.
Another enormous thank you goes out to the many volunteers who invested hours to this project, the contributors who gave so generously, and to the many individuals who supported the project with their best wishes.
Without community businesses providing their expertise in the renovation process the project wouldn’t have been completed in such a timely manner. We would like to thank the businesses that had an active role in the renovation.
The Wilcox Non-Profit Center is now a “Reality” because of a “Dream” the community of Gratiot had twenty years ago. We sincerely thank you for allowing us to have a part in fulfilling this community dream. If you were unable to visit us at the Open House, please call 463-6245 for a personal tour.
