60, of St. Louis died Friday, July 23, 2010, the result of a plane crash in Lake Michigan that also took the life of his beloved wife of 29 years, Irene, and two other passengers. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Alma College Heritage Center.

67, of Riverdale, died Friday, July 23, 2010, in Lake Michigan west of Ludington when a medical flight plane enroute to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota malfunctioned and crashed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 8, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Masonic Pathways Doig Chapel in Alma. A reception for all, with the family, will be held immediately afterward in the Masonic Pathways Doig Conference Center in the lower level of the building.

Funeral services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel, on Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, July 30, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca Chapel.

was born on July 23, 2010, at Gratiot Medical Center. On the wings of angels he joined the Lord at Mott’s Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. Following cremation he will be laid to rest in the Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor. There will be a small gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life at the Conservation Park, Alma, on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 11 a.m.

Millard Jones Denwiddie, 30, Detroit pled guilty to three counts of delivery of a controlled substance in the amount of less than 50 grams. He was sentenced on July 19 by 29th Circuit Court judge Randy Tahvonen to 365 days in county jail with credit for 97 days served on each count. Denwiddie was forced to pay $60 to Crime Victim Rights, $204 state minimum costs, $2,050 in court costs and $500 in fines and will be placed on probation for 48 months.
